Playing fairly

Terms of use.

Last updated: 16 September 2026

1. The service.

These terms cover Orbino, a free, single-player geography game provided by the operator identified on our contact page. By using Orbino, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the service.

Orbino currently has no registration, paid features, advertising, or public leaderboard. It is intended for recreation and informal learning.

2. Fair use.

Please use the game lawfully. Do not disrupt the service, overwhelm it with automated requests, bypass security controls, or try to access another browser's saved games. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect the service or other people.

3. Figures, maps, and game results.

Statistics come from a frozen data edition and may be incomplete, approximate, or out of date. Our data notes explain sources, territorial conventions, rounding, and known limitations. A game's comparison of displayed figures is not advice or a judgement about a country or its people.

Maps and flags are simplified representations and do not express a position on sovereignty, borders, or disputed territories. We welcome corrections.

4. Saved expeditions and availability.

Progress is stored on the server and linked to an essential cookie in your browser. Clearing that cookie, switching browsers, or using private browsing can make previous progress inaccessible. You can restart an expedition at any time; restarting retains its result in this browser's history.

We aim to keep Orbino available, but interruptions, maintenance, changes, and data loss are possible. We cannot promise uninterrupted access or permanent storage of every expedition. How saved records are handled is explained in the privacy notice.

5. Rights and licences.

Orbino's original presentation and content are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. Third-party software, fonts, flags, maps, and data remain subject to their own rights and licences; see the acknowledgements. These terms do not restrict rights granted by those licences or by law.

6. Responsibility.

Orbino is provided as available, with the data limitations described above. To the extent allowed by applicable law, we do not give additional warranties about accuracy or suitability for a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limits mandatory consumer rights.

7. Changes and contact.

We may update these terms as the service changes. We will publish the revised text with its date and give appropriate notice of material changes. Any additional agreement required by applicable law will be requested separately.

Questions about these terms can be sent to [email protected].
