Orbino vs JetPunk
JetPunk gives you a huge range of geography questions to choose from. Orbino keeps one core question and changes the countries: which category would you play?
JetPunk’s team and community quiz makers have created an impressive variety of ways to practise geography, giving both familiar topics and unusual interests room to grow.

Why JetPunk has so much to explore
A quiz can be a wonderfully direct way to find out what you remember. JetPunk offers familiar starting points such as countries of the world and world capitals, alongside map-fill challenges, flags, and more specialised subjects. You can choose a question that fits your mood rather than follow one fixed daily format.
The supplied thread mentioned JetPunk more than once, including as a complement to a daily puzzle routine. That variety is part of its appeal. If one region or topic catches your attention, there is room to spend more time on it.
How Orbino compares with JetPunk
In Orbino, the country names are supplied. You do not have to retrieve every name in a continent or complete a list. Instead, you make a prediction about a pair of countries, then see the figures for your choice and the seven alternatives.
JetPunk would be my choice when I want to practise a particular body of knowledge. Orbino suits a session of judgement and surprises. A country you can name confidently can still challenge your expectations about its density, coastline, or highest point.
Make recall and understanding work together
Use a JetPunk quiz to make names and locations easier to recall, then use an Orbino reveal to attach context to one of those names. You can also reverse the order: an unexpected matchup might suggest a new quiz topic. Both directions turn a score into a reason to explore.
What an Orbino round looks like
You see two countries’ names and silhouettes, then choose one of eight categories: area, population, wealth per person, population density, coastline, highest point, proximity to the equator, or flag colours. Figures and flags stay hidden until you play. The higher displayed value wins, except proximity to the equator, where closer wins.
After the reveal, you can inspect all eight comparisons, including the choices you did not make. Play a daily challenge or build a saved expedition from twelve countries and four lives. Orbino is free, has no ads, and lets you play without an account.

This comparison grew out of my r/geography discussion about games that teach geography. Recommendations reflect that conversation; the choice of what to play together is my own. This is an independent guide from Orbino’s creator.
